CBC Report Explained: Every Value, In Plain Hindi

What is a CBC Test?

CBC (Complete Blood Count) is the most common blood test in India. It measures the cells in your blood — red cells, white cells, and platelets.

Key Values Explained

RBC (Red Blood Cells) These carry oxygen. Normal: 4.5-5.5 million/μL for men, 4.0-5.0 for women.

WBC (White Blood Cells) Your immune soldiers. Normal: 4,000-11,000/μL. High = infection. Low = weakened immunity.

Platelets Help blood clot. Normal: 1.5-4.0 lakh/μL. Low platelets = dengue warning sign.

Hemoglobin Oxygen couriers. Normal: 13-17 g/dL men, 12-15.5 g/dL women.

MCV (Mean Corpuscular Volume) Size of your red blood cells. Normal: 80-100 fL. Low = iron deficiency. High = B12 deficiency.
